What is meant by stock market speculation? How is it different from stock market trading?
All the answers I’ve read to your question are bullsh1t. There is no difference.
To speculate is to gather information and bet your money on your idea, hoping for a win.
To trade is to gather information and bet your money on your idea, hoping for a win.
By the way, I pass no moral judgement on this activity. I actually see it as a natural part of being in the world. We want to win, and we want to win quickly. People who have not ever won at the stock market game (or played it fo rthat matter) like to focus on terms and labels. Winners and losers are making real trades with real money.

Well, you have to trade in order to speculate.
Day trading is the normal ebb and flow of investors in and out of the market based on market reports, rumors and gut feelings.
Speculation is when an investor takes a risk (sometimes a calculated one, but not always) that a particular stock will be profitable. Perhaps he has heard that the company is gonna announce a new widget that will be a huge success, perhaps there has been a change in management or a takeover that will lead to big profits, often it’s just a "feeling".

I would say stock trading is very risky now a days … With all the financial slow down, it hard to see stock go up even for good companies.
My recommendation would be to try online forex trading. Volatility is huge and you are never dependant on any company staff ability to pull it off.
